Real Bands Save Fans, Real Fans Save Bands (Part 2)

“Real bands save fans, real fans save bands”- Michael Clifford
There is very little that they wouldn’t do for these people that they idolize. I know from personal experience the lengths that a fan will go. Some will jump in front of a bullet (I’m being 100% serious) or even sell their soul to the devil himself so that that person would have a happy, healthy and successful life (Again I’m being 100% honest!). This really goes for any famous person with fans really. YouTubers, Viners, dancers, actors, theatrical performers, anyone in the business who can accumulate a fan base.
I have been in many different fandoms which you probably know by now. I have seen many different artists break many different times. It is the most heartbreaking thing ever to see someone who you and so many others have put so much affection into just break. That moment when they lose everything that they have worked so long to keep hidden is heart shattering.
While with today’s media it’s much easier to know when they reach their breaking point it only makes it harder to bear. It’s nice though because the faster we as fans know our idols have hit this point it let’s us help them get back to the top where they belong. The immediate effort that the fans take to try and pick their idol back up heartwarming to witness. There have been multiple occasions when an idol has broken down in tears because everything just becomes too much, because they feel like they’re not enough, or because they feel like they can’t be who everyone needs them to be. To see someone so upset and broken is horrifying. I can’t imagine what it would be like to go through that alone without someone to be there to help them back up. Someone has to be there to pick up the pieces.
If it was up to me things like this would never happen again. If it was up to me then everyone would be blessed with a kind heart, exceptional confidence, and everyone would love one another, but that’s not realistic.
